The Role:
As an Assistant Quantity Surveyor, you'll support the Senior Quantity Surveyor on a variety of residential projects. You'll play a key role in cost management, procurement, and contract administration to ensure the financial success of our developments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assisting with the preparation of cost plans, budgets, and valuations
- Supporting the procurement of subcontractors and suppliers
- Monitoring and controlling project costs
- Assisting with the preparation of final accounts
- Ensuring compliance with financial and contractual regulations
- Providing regular reports and updates to the Senior QS
What We're Looking For:
- Residential experience is essential (experience in housebuilding, housing associations, or contracting)
- Strong commercial awareness and attention to detail
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- Proficiency in relevant software (such as COINS or similar)
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritise effectively
- A team player who can also work independently
