A leading main contractor based in Birmingham is seeking a dedicated Document Controller to join their team. Key Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain project documentation, ensuring accuracy, quality, and compliance with company standards.
- Control and distribute documents to relevant stakeholders, maintaining version control.
- Set up and manage electronic document management systems (EDMS).
- Support project teams with document-related queries and provide training when required.
- Ensure timely submission and retrieval of documentation to meet project deadlines.
- Monitor and report on document progress and ensure compliance with ISO standards and internal procedures.
- Liaise with internal teams, subcontractors, and clients to ensure seamless document workflows.
Requirements
- Proven experience in a Document Controller role within the construction industry or a similar environment.
- Strong understanding of document management systems and processes.
- Proficiency in EDMS software such as Viewpoint, Aconex, or similar tools.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and work under pressure to meet deadlines.
