Job Title: Electrical Site Supervisor
Location: Perth, Scotland
Day rate: £35 - £39p/h outside IR35
Contract: 6 months initial contract
A fantastic opportunity for a Electrical Site Supervisor has arisen with a Principal Contractor to work on substation builds, upgrades and replacements.
Key responsibilities for this Electrical Site Supervisor role:
Representing the Site Manager and having full responsibility for the day-to-day control of the team and the team’s activities on site
Complying with Health & Safety, Environmental and Quality plans
Assist / produce Method Statements and Risk Assessments and implement
Conduct weekly safety walks and site safety meetings proactively raising hazards, and pointing out best practices
Operating within a budget and delivering to programme
Ensure all tools and equipment allocated to the activities are utilised and maintained effectively
Be responsible for setting your team(s) to work following the agreed procedure, delivering toolbox talks, daily point of work risk assessments and safety briefings and carrying out admin
Experience / qualifications required for this Electrical Site Supervisor role:
Experienced in leading and supervising on Electricity Supply Industry Construction site or similar (Power Generation, Oil & Gas, or general construction sites).
Experienced in leading teams in site activities comprising of primary and secondary plant installation complying with Health and Safety, quality and environmental legislation and practice within a substation environment, for example National Grid, SSE, SPEN etc.
Requires the presence and personal qualities necessary to effectively monitor and control the site -such as people management skills, verbal and written
HNC/HND/Degree Qualification in Electrical Engineering
HV experience / Substation experience
SSSTS, IOSH
Full Drivers Licence
