Environmental Project Manager

Location: Newcastle Upon Tyne

Office Based + Home Working or Remote considered with occational travel.

Salary: £32,000 - £40,000 dependant on experience plus:

Role Summary

A high growth, pioneering consultancy, working across the UK, dedicated to enhancing nature and biodiversity are looking to hire a Project Manager to deliver a range of project management related functions to support and enable the business to deliver efficient, profitable and client focused services across ecology and biodiversity work streams.

Client facing, you will be responsible for the planning, resourcing, implementation and day to day financial management of the companies major projects.

Responsibilities

- Undertake the project management of major projects/clients, including fiscal management, logistics, project monitoring and review/evaluation.
- Manage resource planning of project delivery including third party suppliers.
- Proactively manage major client relationships, building rapport and trust.
- Build and implement successful roll-out of project management software system alongside MD & Finance Manager.
- Develop and deliver a training programme in project management and systems implemented.
- Develop user-manual for project management system as part of establishing a robust Quality Management System.
- Support Senior Management Team secure new work/clients, especially large scale, complex projects.
- Responsible for the day-to-day co-ordination of company Health & Safety system alongside external H&S consultant and H&S working group, including managing lone working software and RAMS.

Candidate specification

- Minimum 2 years' experience delivering environmental or ecology projects.
- Knowledge and understanding of the ecology/environmental consultancy sector
- Good understanding and practical experience of Prince2 and its application in a commercial
- environment. Significant experience of co-ordinating and delivering projects, financials, major resources, including
- team and third party suppliers.
- Preparing H&S Risk Assessments and Method Statements.
- Resource planning and co-ordination of work schedules.
- Project budget management including invoicing.

Qualifications

- Degree or equivalent in a business or management related subject.
- Essential: Prince 2 Foundation.
- Desirable: Prince 2 Practitioner, Membership of APM, IPM or similar organisation with strong project
- management credentials.
- NEBOSH National Certificate in Construction Health and Safety.
