Flood Risk Consultant
This is a great opportunity for an experienced Flood Risk Consultant to join a leading Environmental Consultant in Manchester.
Your role as Flood Risk Consultant will be responsible for producing reports and assesments related to Flood Risk and SuDS.

Key responsibilities for this Flood Risk Consultant role:
- Fee proposals – bid/tender preparation and fee proposals for both existing and new clients.
- Client and regulator liaison – liaison with clients, architects, contractors, and regulatory/statutory authorities. Attendance at both client and regulatory meetings.
- Report writing – writing and reviewing Flood Risk Assessments and SuDS Assessments.
- Business Development – research and business development of potential new clients and development of the Flood Risk and Drainage Team.
- Project Management – Operating across a range of projects; work winning, budgetary control of project finances, liaison with wider team to carry out onsite work, site inspections and progress reporting.
Experience required for this Flood Risk Consultant role:
- Strong bachelor’s degree. An additional higher degree would also be an advantage.
- Well-established consultancy or industry experience in Flood Risk Assessments and SuDS Assessments.
- Substantial experience in undertaking Flood Risk Assessments in accordance with NPPF (and/or TAN 15).
- A good understanding of the workings of the Environment Agency, Natural Resources Wales, and Lead Local Flood Authorities
- Up-to-date knowledge of current planning policies and procedures and how these can be utilised to maximise the level of service offered to our clients whilst gaining required approvals.

- Outside IR35 Day rate
