Navartis are currently looking to recruit a HSE Advisor for a main-name contractor who have a multi-disicipline offering to the rail sector across a variety of infrastructure projects.
This position is looking for someone from a similar background in infrastructure, covering a portfolio of projects and mainly based from their Wembley office.
Key responsibilities include:
Ensure proper health & safety guidance is provided - by working with colleagues within the wider team, presented in a way that ensures acceptance and effective implementation
Manage the IMS system - ensuring all requirements are adhered to and efficiently used
Take part in inspections & audits of sites, preparing reports and assisting management in close out of any identified issues
Represent the company in all dealings, such as client facing meetings
Involvement in accident & incident investigations - ensuring proper reports are presented in a timely and structured manner
Promote awareness of Health & safety and environmental culture within the business - by partaking in safety alerts, toolbox talks and attendance of safety forum events
Properly review and produce documents for procedures such as site files, emergency plans, COSHH assessments and documents for subcontractors
The ideal candidate:
Previous experience within a role of a similar environment such as rail/civils infrastructure (work on areas such as London Underground, National Rail would be desireable)
Nebosh general certificate is a minimum requirement for the role - additional certification such as Nebosh Diploma or IEMA would be advantageous
Knowledge of ISO 45001 certification
Ability to interact with various different contacts - within the wider team, client contacts, subcontractors
Flexibility to work outside of normal working hours when required
The package:
Competitive salary package (up to £55k depending on experience)
Travel expenses covered (road/rail)
