Installation & Commission Engineer (Rail Telecoms)
Location: York with site travel UK wide
Salary / Benefits: £45,000 to £55,000 + package

An opportunity has become available for a Installation & Commission Engineer to become a key member of the team for a leading Telecoms Principle Contractor working in the Rail Sector.
Working on multiple Network Rail fibre and copper telecommunications schemes.
To be suitable for the position you must have:
- Installation & Commissioning experience on Operational Telecoms schemes.
- Relevant technical qualifications or certifications in fibre optic networks or telecommunications.
- High knowledge of Transmission Telecoms rail systems
- Rail Telecoms experience.
- COSS Qualified.
- Experience working on Network Rail Infrastructure Projects.
- A high level knowledge in a range of fibre optic, copper and telecom hardware technology platforms.
- UK Driving License.
Role responsibilities:
- Delivering rail telecoms Test & Commissioning solutions including Operational Telecoms and SISS, to ensure the safety, performance, and integrity of installations as demanded by the rail industry.
- Commissioning duties on operational telecoms schemes.
- Installation of telecoms transmission systems.
- Create documents, including commissioning plans, ITPs & hand back docs.
- Training/mentoring junior members of staff in industry
- Interpreting and delivering telecoms designs and quality reporting.
