Your Responsibilities:
- Determination of all electrical and mechanical interfaces for each component of the locomotive, as well as the corresponding connection technology.
- Communication with electrical and systems engineers to ensure correct interface integration.
- Specification of all pipelines, cable channels, and corresponding assembly principles on the vehicle.
- Creation of work packages for the substructure, external suppliers (engineers), and verification of delivery results.
- Design of brackets, panels, equipment cabinets, hoods, and driver's cabs
according to EN15085.
- Determination of the structure and design of cable harnesses according to EN50343.
- Participation in and organization of internal and external design reviews for quality assurance and optimization of construction processes.
Your Qualification Profile:
- Qualification: University degree in engineering, preferably mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, or mechatronics, or a completed technical vocational training.
- Professional experience: Minimum of 5 years in the field of design, ideally in the rail vehicle industry.
- Technical expertise: Profound knowledge of CAD/PDM/PLM systems and experience with Autodesk Inventor.
- Language skills: Fluent English (at least B2 level) and German proficiency (B2 level).
- Practical skills: Experience in 3D design, technical drawings, e.g., through the construction of control cabinets.
- Willingness to travel: Availability for regular visits to our locations.
