Our firm is seeking an experienced Mechanical Project Manager to join their dynamic team at a leading building consulting firm in the GTA. In this role, you will oversee the planning, execution, and completion of mechanical engineering projects within the building consulting sector. Your primary responsibilities will include coordinating with clients, managing project budgets and timelines, and leading a team of engineers and technicians to ensure successful project delivery.
Key Responsibilities for the Mechanical Project Manager:
- Lead and manage mechanical engineering projects from inception to completion, ensuring adherence to scope, budget, and schedule.
- Collaborate with clients to define project requirements and objectives, providing technical expertise and recommendations.
- Develop and manage project plans, including resource allocation, risk management, and quality control.
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, including architects, structural engineers, and contractors, to integrate mechanical systems seamlessly into building designs.
- Monitor project progress, address any issues or changes, and ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Prepare and present project reports, budgets, and forecasts to stakeholders and senior management.
Qualifications for the Mechanical Project Manager:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
- Professional Engineering (PE) license is highly desirable.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in mechanical project management within the building consulting or construction industry.
- Proven track record of managing complex projects and leading teams effectively.
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in project management software and tools.
