Network Project Manager

As a Telecom Network Project Manager, you will play a pivotal role in planning, coordinating, and executing projects for a tier 1 operator in the UK. You will be responsible for ensuring the successful delivery of telecom network workstreams, including packet core, voice core, transmission, radio, cloud, and more. This role requires a strong understanding of telecom network technologies and excellent project management skills.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Plan and manage project deliverables for various telecom network workstreams, including packet core, voice core, transmission, radio, cloud, etc.
- Coordinate deliveries across multiple teams and releases, ensuring effective communication and collaboration.
- Create and maintain delivery plans tracking time, effort, costs, risks, and issues.
- Coordinate with teams on feature releases, managing dependencies across teams to ensure timely delivery.
- Provide appropriate reporting to the project or programme as well as senior management, highlighting key milestones, risks, and issues.
- Ensure a smooth path to production, engaging with operations teams for a seamless transition.
Technical Skills:
- Experience in delivering and managing Telecom Network projects, with expertise in domains like packet core, voice core, transmission, radio, cloud, etc.
- Knowledge of project setup, including creating initial Project Plans during the bid phase, requirement capture, work definition, estimating, and scheduling.
- Experience in project monitoring, control & execution processes, and techniques.
- Familiarity with Project Management processes including Change Control, Risk & Opportunity Management, and Information Management.
- Proficiency in Schedule tools (Microsoft Project) for effective project planning and tracking.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Telecommunications, Engineering, or related field.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent is preferred.
- Minimum of [X] years of experience in Telecom Network project management.
