We are seeking an experienced Construction Planner to join our clients Office team in Dublin. This role will support building Construction Programmes, Planning Procedures, Site Logistics Layouts, and Progress Monitoring and Reporting throughout each project's lifecycle. The ideal candidate will have prior planning experience with a Main Contractor or Consultancy.
Key Responsibilities
- Developing high-quality programmes that align with both Company and Client expectations within allocated timeframes, covering PQQ, Tendering, and Contract stages.
- Conducting technical reviews of Pre-Qualification and tender documents, including analysis of project activities, programme durations, and necessary requests for information.
- Analyzing contractual documents related to time schedules, milestones, and value engineering opportunities.
- Collaborating with the tendering team to ensure compliant bid submissions that meet Employers’ and Tender Requirements.
- Providing technical support to Estimating and Construction teams as needed.
- Preparing Tender, Contract, and Construction stage programmes, including critical path analysis and progress tracking.
- Creating work packages to define scheduled installation tasks with accompanying sketches or drawings for internal and Client presentations.
- Assisting Project Managers in tracking project progress against master programmes and budgets as needed.
- Supporting Project Managers in developing and implementing recovery plans for delays and unexpected challenges.
- Communicating, tracking, and reporting on-site installation progress if required.
- Assisting with contractors' reports as directed by the Project Manager.
- Participating in project meetings, updating the construction programme based on meeting outcomes, and advising the Project Team of potential impacts.
- Attending meetings and liaising with Client teams as required.
Requirements
- Degree in Construction or Engineering.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role with a Main Contractor or Engineering Consultancy.
- Proficiency in planning software such as Primavera, MS Project, ASTA Power Project, etc.
- Strong skills in other software and Windows-based tools, including AutoCAD, Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Knowledge or experience with 3D Modeling software/BIM is an advantage.
- Demonstrated experience in tender and contract stages of projects.
- In-depth understanding of the construction industry and relevant regulations.
- Proven ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and prioritize tasks.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
