Project Manager
I have an opportunity for a Project Manager to join a Civil Engineering team. Offering station and depot solutions, structures, electrification & plant, track infrastructure, asset maintenance and commercial property.
They are looking for a Project Manager with a CRE background to join the team in Birmingham where they have recently won a lot of work on Access for all projects.
The key responsibilities for this Project Manager role are:
- Station upgrades - such as bridges, lift shafts, interfacing with platform extensions.
- Ensuring stations plans for evacuation procedures are well thought out and everyone can evacuate safely, considering restricted mobility.
- Working on constructability methods throughout the construction of the projects.
- Proficiency in project management tools and methodologies, with a focus on delivering projects within a framework environment.
- Exceptional organisational and problem-solving abilities, with a keen eye for detail and the capacity to handle multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Develop and execute comprehensive project strategies, including scope, schedules, and budgets, to achieve project objectives and align with the company's mission.
- Collaborate closely with internal teams, external stakeholders, contractors, and suppliers, fostering effective working relationships and ensuring clear communication throughout the project lifecycle.
- Provide leadership and guidance to project teams, promoting a culture of excellence, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Conduct regular project reviews, reporting on progress, milestones, and key performance indicators to senior management and stakeholders.
Experience required for this Project Manager role are:
- CRE experience working with electrical engineers
- Station works and upgrade experience
- Experience working on AFA and BNC works
- Drainage experience
- Civil engineering degree
- AMP/NEC background
- Experience working on projects from grip stage 1 to grip stage 8
- Previous experience workone contracting organisation
