This role is responsible for the delivery of a portfolio of complex multi-discipline projects to achieve quality, financial and delivery requirements within the Project Management team and deliver high levels of customer satisfaction. In addition, this role is responsible for the management and delivery of bids/opportunities within the projects department.
Main Accountabilities for this Project Manager role:
- Responsible for ensuring excellence in project delivery is achieved, placing DB ESG in the position of preferred supplier to existing customers and open opportunities with new customers
- Responsible for the management and delivery of bids/opportunities
- Responsible for stage planning and managing the delivery of milestones to time, cost and quality
- Contribute to implementation of change to deliver strategic business goals
- Create innovative ways to deliver products and services to customers (internal and external) to deliver profitable business growth
- Responsible for application of a rigorous approach to estimating during the bidding process resulting in accurate and achievable project budgets and high-quality competitive bids.
Performance targets for this Project Manager role:
- Ensure effective utilisation of project resources with the most appropriate skill levels and experience to meet project requirements
- Ensure all project stages and work packages within allocated project portfolio are effectively planned and managed using DB ESG project management processes and the business systems
- Responsible for the identification of project resource requirements to achieve project delivery on time, to quality and budget. Ensure exceptions to plan are raised through the appropriate escalation channels
- Keep up to date with industry developments including new standards and technology
- Ensure projects are structured such that data can be analysed at an appropriate level for review, control and input into the lessons learnt process to guide future business
Essential Knowledge, Skills and Experience required for this Project Manager role:
- Proven record of building effective relationships with customers, suppliers and internal stakeholders
- High level of written and verbal communication skills
- Basic understanding of commercial awareness
- Experience of directly leading teams of resources in delivering projects
- Experience of financial project reporting

- Recognised Project Manager Qualification
