Public Procurement Consultant
A commercial and procurement advisory team that work in manufacturing, asset management & finance for the Rail Sector. Looking to expand their team and support the growth of the business.
They are currently looking for a Public Procurement Consultant that will play a crucial role in helping clients optimise their procurement processes, manage supply chains and ensure effective vendor management.
The key responsibilities for this Public Procurement Consultant role are:
- Identifying cost saving opportunities throughout supply chain.
- Preparing and managing tender documentation, including Requests for Proposals, Invitations to Tender and Requests for Quotations.
- Negotiating and ensuring contracts are compliance within public services.
- Supporting and assisting clients in preparing competitive bids for rail projects, ensuring compliance with current industry standards.
- Working closely with engineering, project management, finance, and legal teams to ensure procurement aligns with overall project objectives.
- Monitoring supplier performance using KPI's and regular audits
Desirable knowledge, skills & experience for this Public Procurement Consultant role are:
- CIPS Qualified (or equivalent)
- Confidence communicating with supplier terms and building relationships with stakeholders.
- Ability to build relationships with clients.
- Demonstratable knowledge and background within Public Procurement.
- Rail industry knowledge is desirable but not essential.
