Job Role: Quantity Surveyor (Demolition Experience)
Location: Sutton in Ashfield
Opportunity: Permanent
Salary: Up to £60,000 D.O.E (Car & Further benefits)

I currently have an opportunity for an ambitious Quantity Surveyor who has experience in Civils, Construction or largescale ground/earthworks. You will be joining a successful and fast-growing business where your achievements and commitment will be appreciated and rewarded.

Key responsibilities for this Quantity Surveyor role:

  • Cost Estimation: Prepare accurate cost estimates for construction projects, including materials, labor, and other expenses.
  • Budget Management: Monitor and manage project budgets to ensure costs are controlled throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Tendering and Contracting: Assist in the preparation and submission of tender documents, evaluate bids, and assist with contract negotiations.
  • Cost Planning: Develop and maintain detailed cost plans to ensure that financial resources are allocated effectively.
  • Value Engineering: Provide recommendations for cost-saving measures without compromising the quality or integrity of the project.
  • Measurement and Quantification: Measure and quantify the work done on-site, ensuring accurate documentation for payment claims and progress reporting.
  • Risk Management: Identify potential financial risks in projects and develop strategies to mitigate them.
  • Contract Administration: Oversee and administer contracts to ensure compliance with agreed terms, including managing variations and claims.
  • Progress Monitoring: Regularly track and report on the financial performance of the project, including any deviations from the budget.
  • Final Accounts: Prepare final accounts for construction projects, including cost reconciliation and ensuring all payments are made and received appropriately.

Key requirements for this Quantity Surveyor role:

  • Relevant Quantity Surveying degree
  • Ambitious, hardworking and willing to dig in deep to support the team.
  • Strong technical knowledge within assessment and design including inspections, calculations and analysis of existing structures and new build design development.
  • Full driving licence and own transport.
  • Experience working within a Civil, groundworks, demolition or earthworks environment
