I have an urgent opportunity available for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to start with a tier 1 contractor within the civil engineering industry.

Your day to day will include:

To assess, review and mitigate commercial and contractual risks and implement the groups policies for risk management.
Measure works carried out and reconcile to Target Cost;
Ensure cash flow is maximised including ensuring payments are received on time.
Provide commercial input including financial and contractual performance forecasts to the management team.
Provide assistance, guidance and support to the operational teams in the areas of: Contract Compliance, The financial impact of decisions; Value maximisation/cost saving techniques.

What are we looking for?

Degree in Quantity Surveying and a full UK driving licence.
Experience on NEC contracts with Target Costs.
Experience of the following systems, Microsoft business suite, Oracle, Causeway accounting systems, and Aconex contract portal.
Experience within the construction or civils industry.
Minimum 5 years’ experience in water projects
NEC Experience (the contract will be mainly working on option B&E)
Ability to deliver day to day QS / SQS scope (contract admin, change control, forecasting, applications for payment, monthly reporting etc).
Ability to manage high volume low value projects.
