A leading main building contractor that has been in operation for over 100 years - our client is seeking an experienced and motivated Site Engineer to join their team.
In this role you will be part of a top-class team on a retail project based in Monaghan. The project will include also include a car park and additional services. It includes a large civils element with the entire site built on a podium slab comprising of precast columns, beams and hollow core slabs.
Key Responsibilities for this Site Engineer role
- Assist the Site Manager with daily on-site tasks.
- Oversee, coordinate, and deliver engineering functions.
- Ensure the efficient control and dissemination of all technical information needed for the project.
- Handle submittals and RFI submissions from development through design team approval.
- Submit requisitions for materials and equipment to the purchasing department.
- Maintain a site diary/log of daily activities.
- Monitor and enforce quality and work standards on site.
- Full setting out responsibility
Key Requirements for this Site Engineer role
- Civil Engineering degree
- Minimum 3 years of experience, ideally with a primary Irish contractor
- Extensive experience in setting out and levelling
- Advantageous to have services experience
- Experience with precast concrete frames and steel roof frames
- Experience in commercial and industrial building projects
