Trainee/Assistant Quantity Surveyor
Location: West Midlands
Salary: £30,000 - £35,000 (Negotiable) + Benefits including Car Allowance, 25+ Days Holiday, Pension Scheme, and Private Health Care

We are looking for a motivated Trainee/Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join our team in the West Midlands. Role Overview:
As a Trainee/Assistant Quantity Surveyor, you will assist in managing the financial aspects of construction projects, working closely with senior team members and the Commercial Manager. You will gain hands-on experience across commercial office and fit-out projects. This position is perfect for someone who is passionate about the construction industry and eager to build a successful career.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supporting senior Quantity Surveyors in managing costs and contracts for commercial projects.
- Assisting with the preparation of valuations, variations, and cost reports
- Collaborating with project teams to ensure projects stay on budget and meet quality standards
- Learning to review and interpret contract documents and drawings
- Supporting the negotiation and procurement process for materials and subcontractors
What We Are Looking For:
- A relevant qualification in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field
- Strong attention to detail and good numerical skills
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
- Willingness to learn and grow within the role
- Basic understanding of the construction industry and standard forms of contracts
