Workshop Manager - Arbroath Depot, Scotland
I have a fantastic opportunity for a Workshop Manager to join Scotland's leading bus operator who operate a fleet of 468 buses and coaches, and, in the past year, have invested £10.1m in 46 new vehicles for local areas, all of which are fully accessible and meet the latest Euro emission standards.
With a total fleet of circa 56 vehicles travelling around East Scotland, you will have the responsibility of supporting, advising and managing a team of engineering and support staff to ensure all buses are clean, safe and reliable for the road each day.
This opportunity will give you the chance to manage diverse and widespread engineering operations within a progressive organisation where your contribution can drive the business forward.
Key responsibilities for this Workshop Manager Role:
- Support engineers and support staff to ensure vehicles are safe, compliant and reliable.
- Assign resources to respond to failures on the road.
- Oversee activities for the maintenance and cleaning of vehicles.
- Liaise with colleagues in the Operations department to ensure PVR is met at all times.
Key experience/requirements for this Workshop Manager Role:
- Appropriate engineering qualifications
- Excellent diagnostic skills
- Experience of leading a team/workshop
- Knowledge of PCV operations.
- Experience of motivating teams to achieve targets.
- Relevant experience within a workshop supervisory role
