Assistant Preconstruction Manager

Salary: Up to £55,000 + Comprehensive Package
An established Main Contractor based in Bedfordshire is looking to welcome an enthusiastic and ambitious Assistant Preconstruction Manager to their team. This is a fantastic opportunity to work alongside experienced professionals on high-profile industrial sector projects, with real scope for growth and development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the Preconstruction Manager in coordinating the preconstruction phase of industrial projects.
- Assist in the preparation of preconstruction programmes, tender documents, and cost planning.
- Work collaboratively with design, commercial, and operational teams to help ensure project requirements are met.
- Aid in the review of project specifications and drawings to help identify risks, opportunities, and design considerations.
- Liaise with clients, consultants, and subcontractors to support effective communication and build relationships.
- Ensure preconstruction activities align with relevant industry standards and internal processes.
Requirements:
- Some experience supporting or working on the preconstruction phase of construction projects.
- Exposure to projects in the industrial, commercial, or logistics sectors is desirable.
- Strong understanding of construction principles and keen interest in procurement and project planning.
- Excellent organisation, communication, and teamwork skills.
- Ability to manage competing deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Competence in relevant software (e.g. MS Project, Excel); familiarity with estimation or planning tools is a plus.
