Summary
A Tier 1 civil engineering infrastructure principal contractor is seeking a BIM Coordinator to support Their development of Building Information Management (BIM) capability.
This will include:
- Supporting the implementation of companywide document control standardisation process
- Providing 2D/3D modelling resource.
- Supporting BIM delivery on acquisitions
- Support the implementation of BIM on live projects
- Assessment of BEP and other relevant project documentation
- Supporting in ensuring the Project team have the necessary capabilities and competence to undertake the required BIM Roles.
- Promoting and assisting teams in adopting best practice in implementing BIM methodologies and practices.
- Generating feedback reports on BIM best practice, opportunities for improvement and issues to be resolved
- Supporting the work associated with CAD/BIM/Document Management software/systems upgrades, testing and implementation
Seeking Candidates with:
- Experience operating in a dedicated BIM role (>2 years)
- Experience Identifying, interpreting and applying required industry/ client/ internal BIM and CAD standards
- Experience utilising both Autodesk, Revit and Bentley Systems 2D & 3D applications.
- Detailed knowledge of infrastructure design processes and construction techniques
- Knowledge of the methods of civil engineering construction - Reinforced structures, earthworks, temporary works etc.
Although not essential it would also be advantageous if you have;
- Professional qualification BRE BIM Level 2 Certificated Practitioner, or similar
- HNC, HND, BSc, BEng or MEng degree in relevant engineering, design or CAD field
