We are seeking an EHS Advisor to join our team on a commercial construction project in Galway. In this vital role, you will focus on ensuring that all site activities meet the highest safety and environmental standards. Your expertise will be essential in promoting a proactive safety culture, minimizing risks, and ensuring compliance with relevant legislation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct regular site inspections and audits to ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations.
- Implement, monitor, and enforce safety measures and protocols to mitigate risks on-site.
- Manage all safety documentation, including incident reports, safety plans, and compliance records.
- Promote a culture of safety across the site through training sessions, workshops, and daily briefings.
- Collaborate with project managers and teams to identify potential hazards and develop effective mitigation strategies.
- Stay updated on industry best practices and regulatory changes to ensure continuous improvement in EHS practices.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in an EHS role within the commercial construction sector.
- In-depth knowledge of safety practices and regulations specific to commercial construction.
- Strong organizational skills with a keen attention to detail for managing documentation and reporting.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and influence site personnel at all levels.
- Proficient in EHS management software and reporting tools.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Relevant certifications such as NEBOSH, IOSH, or equivalent EHS qualifications.
- Experience with ISO standards related to environmental management and safety.
- A background in conducting training programs focused on safety and environmental awareness.
