Freelance Quantity Surveyor
Location : Remote - with 1 day a week in Plymouth or 1 day every 2 weeks in Plymouth
Engagement : Inside IR35, hourly paid via umbrella company
Rate: Depending on experience
Duration: 26 months ongoing
Experience: NEC4 and construction experience needed/2-5 years' experience
Company Information
- Deliver essential services to defence and civil customers, including engineering support to naval, land, air and nuclear operations, frontline support, specialist training and asset management.
- They construct and manufacture a range of defence and civil equipment, from weapons handling systems, naval ships and liquid gas handing systems.
Duties
- Providing the Senior Quantity Surveyor with effective support in compilation of pre tender estimates, cost planning and modelling of design and implementation options, cost review/monitoring of projects, tender compilation, negotiation, commercial review and subcontractor claim reviews
- Ensuring Contract Administration carried out iaw Contract requirements and in line with Corporate Governance
Important Information
- Required on site once a week ideally (once every two as a minimum)
- No requirement to be based locally but will have to travel - PLYMOUTH
- Clearance - come in on BPSS then can achieve SC
- NEC4 and construction experience needed
- Must be happy to work inside of IR35 via an umbrella company
