Quantity Surveyor
Location: Nottinghamshire
Salary: £60,000 - £65,000 plus car allowance
Opportunity
An excellent opportunity to join a contractor as a Quantity Surveyor specialising in the residential/ accommodation sector. This is an opportunity for a young ambitious Quantity Surveyor to join dynamic company at the right time to grow with the company offering strong prospects.
Key Responsibilities
- Formulate Subcontract Tenders and see through to chairing Pre-let meetings and finalising Subcontract Orders
- Manage Subcontractors commercially ensuring relevant responses are issued in accordance with the contract
- Issue and manage commercial aspects of the contract with the client and or client's agent including agreeing valuations / final accounts and identifying / issuing notices as appropriate
- Able to analyse and understand bills of quantities, drawings, and contract documents
Key Requirements for the ideal Senior Quantity Surveyor
- Minimum 10 years' experience working with a Main Contractor
- Design and Build Experience with both JCT and NEC (NEC not essential)
- Preferred value of projects £2-£10 million
- Experience with Care Homes and Social Housing preferred but not essential
- Experience running own projects
