Senior Superintendent Water/Wastewater

The Senior Superintendent for Water/Wastewater oversees all field operations on a project, ensuring both self-performance and subcontracted trade work meet contract requirements and the project schedule. They also enforce safety and quality control policies among employees and subcontractors.

Responsibilities:

- Supervise the timely and cost-effective installation of the contracted work for the entire project or specific scopes/subcontractors based on complexity.
- Provide on-the-job training for Assistant Superintendents and Project/Office Engineers. Support staff training and development.
- Plan and organize the sequence of work to ensure it aligns with contract documents.
- Maintain knowledge of contracts, subcontracts, and purchase orders.
- Track the scheduled delivery dates for critical path materials and equipment.
- Update the project schedule monthly in compliance with contract documents.
- Control field costs and supervise workforce to ensure work is completed efficiently.
- Monitor field productivity.
- Have a solid understanding of equipment.
- Implement safety programs and conduct regular safety inspections. Take corrective actions when needed.
- Enforce the company's safety policies and quality control programs.
- Assist in resolving scope conflicts.
- Support project management functions.
- Ensure punch list completion in a timely manner.
- Participate in marketing proposals and presentations.

Basic Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in engineering, architecture, construction management, or relevant experience.
- 8-10+ years of water/wastewater construction experience, ideally with large-scale commercial projects or equivalent industry experience.
- Proven success in managing federal or government construction projects from start to finish.
- In-depth knowledge of the construction process, including scheduling, contract administration, equipment, and manpower.
- Demonstrated ability to lead field operations.
- Working knowledge of applicable regulations (e.g., OSHA).
