Job Title: Structural Engineer (m/f/d) – Buildings
Location: Berlin, Germany
Job Overview: We are seeking a talented and motivated Structural Engineer (m/f/d) to join our team in Berlin. In this role, you will be responsible for designing and analyzing the structural aspects of building projects, ensuring that they are safe, functional, and sustainable. You will work on a wide range of building types, from residential to commercial projects, collaborating with architects, clients, and other stakeholders to deliver high-quality engineering solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Structural Design: Develop and design structural systems for various building types, including residential, commercial, and mixed-use developments.
- Analysis: Perform structural analysis to ensure the stability and integrity of buildings, taking into account various loads, materials, and environmental factors.
- Collaboration: Work closely with architects, contractors, and other engineers to integrate structural designs into building projects.
- Regulations & Compliance: Ensure that all structural designs comply with local building codes, regulations, and sustainability standards in Berlin and Germany.
- Documentation: Prepare detailed structural drawings, calculations, and reports for approval and construction purposes.
- Project Management Support: Support project teams by providing technical advice, responding to site queries, and managing structural-related issues throughout the project lifecycle.
- Quality Assurance: Review and monitor the quality of materials, construction processes, and final execution of structural components.
Requirements:
- Education: Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (Bachelor’s or Master’s degree).
- Experience: Proven experience in structural design and analysis for buildings, ideally in a similar role within the construction industry.
- Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in structural analysis and design software (e.g., ETABS, SAP2000, RSTAB, or similar).
- Strong understanding of building codes, standards, and regulations specific to Germany and Berlin.
- Experience with BIM (Building Information Modeling) is a plus.
- Language: Fluency in German and good proficiency in English (both written and spoken).
- Soft Skills:
- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work under pressure to meet deadlines.
- High level of attention to detail and quality assurance.
