An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Trainee Quantity Surveyor to join a leading housebuilding company in Cumbria. This role is ideal for a recent graduate, someone studying towards a construction-related qualification, or an ambitious individual looking to start their career in the construction industry.
You'll gain hands-on experience working on housing projects alongside experienced professionals while developing the skills needed for a successful career in Quantity Surveying.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the team in managing subcontractor relationships, tenders, and budgets.
- Assist with preparing cost reviews, reports, and contract documentation.
- Help implement cost control measures and monitor project finances.
- Contribute to accurate contract administration and payment processing.
- Collaborate with colleagues to ensure smooth project delivery.
What We're Looking For:
- A keen interest in construction and Quantity Surveying.
- Strong numerical and analytical skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- A proactive attitude with a willingness to learn and grow.
- A qualification or studies in Quantity Surveying or construction is desirable but not essential.
