A leading main contractor is looking for a Design Coordinator / Assistant Design Manager to support the successful delivery of industrial and logistics projects. This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-driven professional to progress within a dynamic construction environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in managing the design process from pre-construction through to project completion.
- Coordinate with architects, consultants, and site teams to ensure design intent is met.
- Review and manage drawings, specifications, and technical documentation.
- Ensure compliance with building regulations, planning requirements, and client specifications.
- Support value engineering initiatives to improve project efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
- Identify and help resolve design-related issues throughout the project lifecycle.
- Work closely with the commercial and construction teams to align design with project delivery.
Requirements:
- Experience in a design coordination or assistant design management role within the construction industry.
- Background in industrial or logistics projects is preferred.
- Strong understanding of construction methods, building regulations, and technical detailing.
- Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and work to project deadlines.
- Knowledge of AutoCAD, Revit, BIM, or relevant design software is advantageous.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
