Freelance Assistant Quantity Surveyor
Location : Southwest England
Rate: Inside IR35 - rate depending upon experience/flexible
Duration: 26-month ongoing Freelance Contract
My client is a main contractor, who provide through-life technical and engineering support. They deliver essential services to defence and civil customers, including engineering support to naval, land, air and nuclear operations, frontline support, specialist training and asset management.
They construct and manufacture a range of defence and civil equipment, from weapons handling systems, naval ships and liquid gas handing systems.
Due to growth in the business, they have several Assistant Quantity Surveyor opportunities and are ideally looking for someone with 2-5 years' experience, can manage their own diary to work on a hybrid basis and hit the ground running.
Key Responsibilities for this Freelance Assistant Quantity Surveyor Role:
- Providing the Senior Quantity Surveyor with effective support in compilation of pretender estimates, cost planning and modelling of design and implementation options, cost review/monitoring of projects, tender compilation, negotiation, commercial review and subcontractor claim reviews
- Ensuring Contract Administration carried out iaw Contract requirements and in line with Corporate Governance
Key Experience for this Freelance Assistant Quantity Surveyor Role:
- 2-5+ years' experience, ideally with experience within a similar role
- Relevance degree or qualification in the field.
