Civil Supervisor
About the Role
We have a current opportunity for a Civils Supervisor on a contract basis. This is for a long term Telecoms Projects and its the Civil's Frameworks we are looking to recruit people for.
This will be based in Inverness and surrounding areas, so the ideal candidate will be based in Scotland and able to commute to sites around Scotland.
I am looking for Civils supervisor's with experience in Telecoms works and is an experienced Supervisor on large scale projects, working along side Tier 1's, as this is a contract position, we are wanting someone to come in and hit the ground running.
This role is ideal for a proactive professional with a strong background in civil works, project supervision, and Telecoms Infrastructure deployment.
Key Responsibilities
- Site Supervision: Oversee civil works for Telecoms projects, including excavation, ducting, reinstatement, and site preparation for tower and mast installations.
- Quality Assurance: Ensure all civil activities comply with project specifications, health & safety standards, and client requirements.
- Team Coordination: Supervise contractors and site teams, ensuring efficient resource allocation and timely task completion.
- Stakeholder Management: Liaise with clients, project managers, and local authorities to resolve issues and ensure smooth project delivery.
- Health & Safety Compliance: Enforce adherence to HSE standards, conduct risk assessments, and promote a safety-first culture on-site.
- Progress Reporting: Provide regular updates on project status, challenges, and milestones to project managers.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records, including site diaries, method statements, and as-built drawings.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Civil Supervisor in telecoms or related industries.
- Strong knowledge of civil engineering practices, particularly in excavation, ducting, and reinstatement works.
- Familiarity with telecoms infrastructure standards and guidelines.
- Valid and in date SSST’s, NWRSA and SA001//SA002.
- Strong communication and leadership skills with the ability to manage teams effectively.
- Working knowledge of HSE regulations and risk management.
- Full UK driving license (essential).
Desirable Skills
- Experience with Fibre Network builds or Mobile Telecoms Infrastructure.
- Knowledge of local authority permitting processes.
- Proficiency in project management tools or software.
