Construction Manager

Location: Birmingham / Midlands.

Salary: Circa £50,000 - £60,000 dependant on experience plus package including

Summary

A leading provider of engineering solutions, is seeking a talented Construction Manager in the Midlands area to manages the execution of a range of railway construction projects from beginning to end ensuring that client objectives are met to time, cost and quality standards.

Duties includes

  • Reviewing the project in-depth to schedule deliverables and estimate costs
  • Overseeing all onsite and offsite constructions to monitor compliance with building and safety regulations
  • Coordinating and supervising subcontractors, ensuring adherence to project plans and specifications.
  • Manage project schedules, resources, and budgets
  • Maintain effective communication with stakeholders, including clients, contractors, and project team members.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and maintain a safe working environment.
  • Document project progress, maintain accurate records, and prepare regular reports for management.

Requirements:

  • At least 3 years or site / construction management experience on Railway Civil Engineering / Construction Projects
  • HND/ HNC in Civil Engineering (desirable)
  • Experience working on NEC contracts
  • Excellent communication and people management skills
  • Commercial awareness of cost monitoring and cost value reconciliation
  • Ideally a CSCS Black card, SSSTS or SMSTS
  • Railway Safety Training (PTS)
