Job Title: Construction Manager - Roads

Overview: We are seeking a skilled and experienced Construction Manager to oversee and manage road construction projects across Germany. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership abilities, technical expertise, and a deep understanding of road construction processes, German engineering standards, and relevant regulations. This role requires effective coordination between various stakeholders to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:

Project Management:

Plan, execute, and monitor all phases of road construction projects, including design, procurement, construction, and commissioning.

Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and work plans.

Ensure compliance with German regulations, standards, and safety requirements.

Team Leadership:

Supervise and coordinate the activities of construction teams, contractors, and subcontractors.

Provide leadership and guidance to ensure optimal team performance and project delivery.

Stakeholder Coordination:

Collaborate with clients, government agencies, and local authorities to secure approvals and permits.

Maintain clear communication with stakeholders regarding project progress, risks, and changes.

Quality Control:

Ensure that all construction work meets engineering standards, specifications, and client expectations.

Conduct regular site inspections and audits to assess progress and identify potential issues.

Health & Safety:

Implement and enforce strict health and safety protocols in line with German laws and industry best practices.

Conduct safety training and ensure all team members are aware of safety procedures.

Budget Management:

Monitor project expenditures and manage resources efficiently.

Prepare and present financial reports, ensuring alignment with project budgets.

Identify and address potential risks and challenges in project delivery.

Develop solutions to keep projects on track and mitigate delays.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.

Minimum of 5 years of experience in road construction management.

In-depth knowledge of German construction regulations and standards (e.g., DIN, VOB, and StVO).

Proficiency in project management software and tools.

Strong communication skills in German (fluent) and English.

Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Valid driver’s license.
