Electrical Commissioning Engineer

Job Description

As an Electrical Commissioning Engineer you will have a full understanding of all commissioning requirements for the entire project life cycle. within an Electrical Commissioning Engineer role you will help to make sure that the products they are responsible for work properly and that they meet the client’s needs. Typical tasks include:

Electrical Commissioning Engieer - Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Procurement of materials and assurance to the specific design
  • Help monitor the installation work on site / snagging and defects
  • Managing subcontractors
  • Checking installation against design
  • Operate and promote a high standard of health and safety and environment compliance
  • Raise technical queries
  • Meeting with clients
  • HAZCON / HAZCOMM attendance
  • Preparing commissioning documentation 
  • Producing test plans
  • Issuing permits
  • Commissioning Tasks – Dry Commissioning / setting up instruments / Wet Commissioning
  • E2E testing / Telemetry.
  • Commissioning Reports
  • Familiarity with Water Industry Specifications & WIMES Amendments (MEICA related).

Electrical Commissioning Engieer - Requirements/Qualifications:

  • Previous experience of commissioning installations (M&E) in line with industry standards.
  • Experience within the water/wastewater industry
  • Confined Space & Water Hygiene (advantageous)
  • 17th or 18th Edition BS 7671.
  • EUSR Card
  • CSCS Card
  • First Aid Qualification
