This is a great opportunity for an experienced Environmental Advisor to join a well Established Civils contractor working on a large number of infrastructure projects/frameworks which include civils and water. This role is the be based in the Portsmouth/Havant area.

The company is a well know Civils contractor who operate nationwide throughout the UK and have a number of Regional offices. Your role as Environmental Advisor you will be joining the H&S team, be involved in projects from start to finish.

Key responsibilities for this Environmental Advisor role:
- Advise and help with the day-to-day tasks related to Environmental management in accordance with company policies and procedures
- Carrying out Environmental audits and inspections
- Developing and implementing Environmental controls
- Promote best practice
- Carrying out incident investigations
- Advising on and identifying training needs
- Liaising with our clients and other contractors
- Monitoring and reporting on Environmental performance
- Write and review environmental documents such as Construction Environmental Management Plan, Site Waste Management Plan, Pollution Management Plan etc...


Experience required for this Environmental Advisor role:
- Experience in the construction industry in the principal contractor/Designer role is desirable
- Relevant Environmental qualification as a minimum (Degree or Masters etc...)
- Member of accredited organisation such as IEMA or similar is desirable
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
- Hold a full driving license
- Managing the requirements of the Register of Environmental Actions and Commitments
- Assisting the delivery team in obtaining and complying with environmental consents


Package offered for this Environmental Advisor role:

- Basic Salary up to £35,000-£45,00 depending on experience
- Package
