Location
North Lanarkshire, Scotland / Hybrid

Salary / Benefits

£28,000 - £34,000, negotiable dependant on experience. plus package / car allowance

Company Information
A leading European tier 1 supplier for railway electrification is currently looking to add an enthusiastic Environmental Co-Ordinator to their team.

Candidate Specification

  • Have a Degree or equivalent level qualification within a relevant discipline
  • Good understanding of the UK legislative framework and requirements
  • The ability to work effectively as part of a team and support as required
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Full driving licence
  • The ability to stay calm and meet deadlines
  • Flexibility to travel to different locations

Desirable but not esssential

  • Member of IEMA (AIEMA minimum) desirable
  • Network Rail project background and working knowledge of NR-L2-ENV-015 is desirable

Role Information

  • Be part of the Environmental team and assist the team to maintain full engagement in meeting business objectives
  • Prepare consent applications and undertake pre-application consultation as required
  • Undertake site inspections, record and report findings
  • Monitor, analyse, and report on the following, and develop Excel-based data-bases and reports accordingly: targets, objectives, KPIs/EPIs, aspects and impacts inspection findings, audit findings, close-calls, incidents, complaints, carbon and energy, waste social value etc..
  • Undertake risk assessments to ensure environmental risks are identified, communicated, recorded and addressed appropriately.
  • Assist in environmental incident and complaint investigations
  • Ensure all works assigned by the SPL Head of Environment and Sustainability are completed in a timely manner.
  • Identify opportunities for innovation and best practice, and document achievements a sustainability case studies.
  • Any other duties required to facilitate project planning and management.
