Join a leading main contractor in Offaly known for its excellence in delivering high-quality projects across various sectors. The company is expanding its team and is seeking an Estimator with over 3 years of experience working with Irish or UK main contractors. Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates for various construction projects.
  • Analyze project plans and specifications to develop comprehensive estimates.
  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and architects to ensure accurate and competitive pricing.
  • Review and assess subcontractor and supplier quotations.
  • Identify potential cost-saving opportunities and risks.
  • Prepare and present tender submissions and proposals.
  • Maintain and update historical cost data and pricing databases.
  • Attend pre-tender and post-tender meetings as required.
  • Liaise with clients, consultants, and stakeholders to address any queries and ensure alignment on project requirements.
  • Assist in the mentoring and development of junior estimators.
  • Keep the management team informed of market trends, cost fluctuations, and competitive pricing strategies.
 Requirments
  • A third-level degree in Engineering or Quantity Surveying.
  • A minimum of 3 years' experience in an estimating role is preferred.
  • Proficiency in using Cubit software is required.
  • Experience working with a main contractor in Ireland and/or the UK is essential.
  • Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Build Soft, BIM, and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines and budgets.
  • Must be organized and skilled in presentation work.

Benefits:

  • Competitive salary up to €75,000 DOE
  • Office Based / Hybrid
  • Working hours: 8.30am - 5.30pm, early finish on Fridays
