Job Title: FTTx Project Manager
Location: Phoenix, AZ and surrounding areas (100% in field/office)
We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead fiber-to-the-x (FTTx) projects for a rapidly growing telecommunications client in Phoenix, AZ.
Your role as FTTx Project Manager will be to coordinate all activities from field design, permit verification, reporting, restoration and close out of the FTTX project. The ideal candidate will be proactive, detail oriented, have excellent communication skills and task driven to be able to deliver projects efficiently.
Key Responsibilities for this FTTx Project Manager role:
- Overseeing the full turnkey fiber projects, including inspecting installation quality, project controls and daily production reporting.
- Building key relationships with local municipalities and customers/general public for permitting, break fix and redlines to continue production and acceptance
- Reviewing FTTx construction drawings
- Tracking project progress and adjust plans as necessary to meet objectives
- Manage vendor scope of work (SOW), project change orders and materials procurement sufficient to meet contractual requirements.
- Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies
- Support the commercial and finance metric development and reporting
Key Requirements for this FTTx Project Manager role:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience managing OSP vendors
- Project/Program Management expertise
- PMP, PgMP or equivalent project management certification desirable
- Proven experience in developing project schedules, forecasting and cost engineering
- Experience using CAD, GIS Systems and FTTH records/As-builts
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines under pressure
- Excellent leadership and communication skills
