Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Geotechnical Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will work on various projects, including soil investigations, foundation design, slope stability, and geotechnical risk assessments. You will be involved in all stages of the project lifecycle, ensuring solutions comply with German and European standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct geotechnical investigations, including site inspections, soil sampling, and testing.
- Analyze soil and rock properties to determine suitability for construction projects.
- Design foundations, retaining walls, slope stabilization, and other geotechnical structures.
- Perform geotechnical modeling and analysis using specialized software (e.g., PLAXIS, GeoStudio).
- Prepare geotechnical reports, calculations, and recommendations for design and construction.
- Collaborate with structural engineers, architects, and project managers to ensure integrated solutions.
- Conduct risk assessments for geotechnical aspects of projects.
- Ensure compliance with German geotechnical and construction regulations (e.g., DIN standards) and Eurocodes.
- Provide technical support during construction, including on-site problem-solving.
- Stay updated on advancements in geotechnical engineering and implement best practices.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, or a related field.
- At least 4 years of professional experience in geotechnical engineering.
- Proficiency in geotechnical analysis and design software (e.g., PLAXIS, GeoStudio, Rocscience).
- Strong understanding of soil mechanics, rock mechanics, and ground improvement techniques.
- Knowledge of German construction regulations (DIN standards) and Eurocodes.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD or similar drafting software is an advantage.
- Fluent in German (mandatory) and English (preferred).
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
