Job Description

Job Role: H&S Advisor

Location: London (North West)

Salary: £45,000 - £55,000.

Navartis are currently working with a specialist rail contractor as they have an immediate vacancy for an experienced H&S Advisor from a construction or rail background working on major projects across the capital.

In this role, you’ll work closely with line management to provide essential guidance, monitor safety performance, and champion the company’s Integrated Management System (IMS). Your responsibilities will include conducting site inspections, audits, and assisting with the development of safety documentation. You'll also drive safety initiatives, lead accident investigations, and support the delivery of safety communications such as Tool Box Talks and Safety Alerts.

The key requirements for the H&S Advisor Role are:

  • Provide Health & Safety support and guidance to line management.
  • Monitor and address Portfolio Health & Safety performance.
  • Champion the Integrated Management System (IMS) and ensure adherence.
  • Deliver Safety Communications (Tool Box Talks, Safety Alerts) and attend Safety Forums.
  • Conduct site inspections and audits; prepare detailed reports.
  • Assist in producing and reviewing Health & Safety documentation (Method Statements, Risk Assessments, Emergency Plans).
  • Develop and implement Health & Safety initiatives to meet business and legal requirements.
  • Represent the department in client meetings.
  • Lead and assist in Accident & Incident investigations, preparing reports as needed.
  • Participate in the HSQE team on-call roster and D&A testing rota.

Experience required for this H&S Advisor role are:

  • 5Years working on a site based H&S Role (Essential)
  • NEBOSH Certificate/Diploma Holder (Essential)
  • Working within large rail infrastructure projects (Essential)
  • Working with TFL & Network Rail (Desirable)
  • Previous team leading experience (Desirable)

As a H&S Advisor you will be required to work on a number of sites across the North of London meaning it’s essential you are mobile and willing to travel. The client is looking for an individual passionate about driving cultural change on site.
