Health & Safety Advisor
Location: Swindon
Salary / Benefits:
£45,000 - £55,000 per annum, dependant on experience, plus package including car / car allowance.
Company Information:
Working for a fast paced principal Rail & Civils contractor to actively ensure high a Tier 1 building and infrastructure construction company is looking to take on a Heath and Safety Advisor to join their Swindon based team to provide support on various construction projects.
To be suitable for the position you must have;
- Experience working in a similar role in Health & Safety
- Previous experience working on construction / civils projects (rail, highways, bridges, structures, tunnelling etc)
- Minimum NEBOSH certificate
- Good standard of written English
Role Information;
- To assist in the development, management, implementation and monitoring of the Safety, Health and Environmental Management system by updating systems in line with changes in legislation or best practice
- Assist with development of content for HSE Training and awareness programmes.
- Carry out inspections and audits in conjunction with appropriate management to ensure Company, Client and legislative requirements are being met and make recommendations for improvement
- Assist with investigating and recording of close call, near miss and other incidents reported within the business.
- Assist with development of Occupational Health and Wellbeing campaigns increasing awareness within the business
- Assist the HSE Manager in providing the Work Winning department with health and safety input into Tenders and Pre-qualifications
- Assist the HSE Manager with the implementation of the Business Strategy relating to Health and Safety.
- Cooperate fully with IOSH and abide by its Charter, Byelaws and Regulations
