Hire Desk Controller
Location: Doncaster
Salary: £27,000 - £30,000
An industry leading European supplier for railway electrification is looking to recruit a Hire Desk Controller to join their team.
Working on the plant hire desk you will be responsible for:
- Administering and processing orders for hire, alongside processing the relevant paperwork and maintaining the database systems.
- Liaising with the various team to ensure information is accurate and up to date ready for hire.
- Build effective customer relationships and resolve any issues in a timely and professional manner.
- Self-motivated with an ability to work independently.
- Must have excellent attention to detail and able to query anomalies in information.
- Experience with Word, Excel (including standard formulas) and a good level of numeracy skills.
- Co-ordinates the whole process from order, data logging, supplying quotes, through to delivery and collection.
- Prepping invoices for month end.
- Working directly with the other departments, to ensure all projects get the equipment they require at the best price possible,.
- Dealing with cross hires and off hires.
- Weekly reporting.
- Ensuring relevant requisitions and paperwork all in place and approved.
- Associated administration and support activity to support the team and company.
Seeking someone with:
- Minimum 12 months experience within an administration role and previous experience working within the hire industry.
- Good time management and organisational skills with the ability to prioritise and work well under pressure.
- Willingness to learn and be involved in developing processes within the department and promoting best practice.
- Have a proactive approach and consider new ways to providing service levels with the willingness and ability to accept changes.
- Self-motivated with an ability to work independently.
- Must have excellent attention to detail and able to query anomalies in information.
- Ability to adapt to using different databases to obtain information.
- Work well within a team but confident to take responsibility for own workloads.
- Ability to react to change at short notice and able to manage various workloads with varying deadlines.
- Experience within a plant/small tools environment is desirable but not essential.
- Strong organisational skills.
- Strong communication skills both verbally & written.
- Excellent Maths Skills and excel knowledge is essential.
- Experience using Syrinx (database system)
