HSQE Advisor
Location: Sheffield
Salary: £30,000 - £35,000 plus package including: Hybrid working (at least 2 days in the office/on-site)
Summary
A growing engineering services business covering Datacoms, Mechanical and Electrical engineering within both retail and mainstream construction environments is looking to hire a HSQE Advisor to support and advise on all aspects of Health, Safety and Environmental Issues in the business
Seeking candidates with:
- NEBOSH or IOSH qualified
- TechIOSH
- Full Driving Licence;
- Right to work in the UK;
- Strong administration skills;
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal;
- The flexibility and willingness to learn;
- Have good organising and problem-solving skills;
- Be able to use Microsoft office applications and other databases & software
Duties
- Support and administer HSQE related documentation, such as the ISO management system, RAMS;
- Attend site as required to carry out site inspections and audits. As well as attending internal meetings.
- Assist in compiling HSQE reports and distribute to relevant colleagues
- Assist in ensuring the PIC's sheet is up to date and ensure required actions take place;
- Assist in accident, Incident reporting and investigations;
- Maintain a high level of confidentiality;
- Assist with ensuring that efficient induction into the company takes place for all new starters and subcontractors.
- Assist the Head of HSQE to ensure effective welfare measures are in place by analysing data including engineers' hours reviews, speeding reports etc.
- Assist in producing training materials for in-house courses for HSQE and delivering when appropriate.
- Monitor and review the progress of colleagues through toolbox talks and discussions with managers.
- Assist in ensuring statutory training requirements are met including personal training, objectives, and targets.
- Assist Line Managers to solve specific training problems, either on a one-to-one basis or in groups.
- Liaise with internal colleagues and ensure all equipment used is compliant and fit for purpose.
