Regional Lead / Health, Safety, Quality and Environment Manager

Location: Birmingham

Salary: Negotiable dependant on level of experience and skill plus package including pension (and company car/allowance health cash plan and wellbeing support

Summary

An award-winning infrastructure company specialising In rail, highways, plant and construction solutions have an exciting opportunity for a Regional Lead Health, Safety, Quality and Environment Manager in Birmingham.

This role with be responsible for managing the development of a positive health & safety and sustainability culture focused upon accident prevention and improving the health & safety of all personnel on-site and adding social value to the project offerings across the Midlands Region.

Including

- Leadership of Operational HSQE Team
- Provisions of advice and support
- Designing and implementing 1st line assurance and governance
- Event Investigations and Emerging Risk Reviews
- Reporting and trend analysis
- Implementation of continuous improvement initiatives

Key Responsibilities will include

Driving safety performance and add social value to the regional works portfolio through the implement and maintain compliance with the business' integrated HSQE CORE Management System across the Region,
To maintain the Principal Contractor Licence, RISQS and Achilles Certifications and ISO 9001/14001/45001/44001 Certifications.
Operational lead for HSQE within Region and representing HSQE at a regional Senior Management Team level.
Professional support and guidance to the businesses to enable the effective management of health & safety in accordance with, and by contributing towards HSQE Policies, Standards, Procedures and Operation licenses.

Candidate Specification

- Good Working Knowledge Of Rail Industry Standards
- 5 Years' Experience Of Managing HSQE Within Construction And Rail Engineering Environments.
- Degree Level Or Equivalent In Occupational Health And Safety (Preferred)
- Degree Level Or Equivalent In Environment/Ecology (Optional)
- Recognised Quality / Auditing Qualification
- Chartered/Full Member Of Iosh/Iema - Desired.
- Pts / CSCS Card Holder
- Excellent Verbal And Written Communications Skills
- Experience Managing A Team
