About the Role:

On behalf of a prominent main contractor based in the North West, we are seeking a talented and experienced Senior Design Manager to lead and coordinate the design process for a variety of exciting projects. This role will focus on large-scale residential developments and hotel projects, offering a unique opportunity to work with a forward-thinking contractor committed to quality, innovation, and sustainability.

As a Senior Design Manager, you will play a critical role in overseeing design delivery, ensuring that client visions are realized, and all technical and regulatory requirements are met.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the design process from concept through to project completion, ensuring all designs meet client and regulatory standards.
  • Collaborate closely with architects, consultants, and subcontractors to deliver innovative and cost-effective design solutions.
  • Manage design programs, ensuring timely delivery of design milestones and integration with construction activities.
  • Oversee design risk management and resolve technical challenges efficiently.
  • Maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, ensuring consistent communication and alignment of project goals.
  • Ensure all projects comply with UK building regulations, planning conditions, and sustainability goals.

 

Candidate Requirements:

  • Experience: Proven experience as a Senior Design Manager or similar role, preferably within residential or hotel sectors.
  • Qualifications: Degree in Architecture, Construction Management, or related discipline.
  • Knowledge: Strong understanding of UK building regulations, construction processes, and design coordination.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, Revit, and project management tools.
  • Soft Skills: Exceptional leadership, problem-solving, and communication abilities.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines under pressure.
