Our client is a Mechanical and Electrical consulting firm that specializes in building services engineering, delivering innovative solutions for diverse projects. They are seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to join their team and lead the design and implementation of building systems. As a Senior Mechanical Engineer, you will design and manage HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection systems for building projects. You will ensure projects meet technical and regulatory standards while leading project teams and collaborating with clients. As the Senior Mechanical Engineer you will have the opportunity to work on a wide range of projects including institutional, commercial, residential, retail and industrial buildings.
Key Responsibilities for the Senior Mechanical Engineer:
- Design and develop mechanical systems for HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection.
- Manage projects from concept through completion, ensuring quality and budget adherence.
- Provide technical leadership and review designs for compliance and performance.
- Collaborate with clients, architects, and other stakeholders to meet project requirements.
- Ensure compliance with building codes and safety regulations.
Qualifications for the Senior Mechanical Engineer:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or Master’s degree preferred.
- 7-10 years of experience in building services engineering.
- Proficiency in design software (e.g., Revit, AutoCAD MEP) and knowledge of building codes.
- Strong project management, communication, and teamwork skills.
- registered with the PEO, either obtained P.Eng or will obtain it within the next 6 months
