We are currently seeking a Senior Planner to join a well established contractor in Ireland for a site based/hyrbid on lead a variety of construction projects in Cork. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating and managing comprehensive project schedules, ensuring the timely and high-quality delivery of projects across different sectors. This position plays a key role in coordinating multiple project teams and stakeholders, directly contributing to the successful execution of our diverse construction projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain detailed project timelines, ensuring alignment with overall project goals and objectives.
- Collaborate closely with project teams, subcontractors, and suppliers to meet milestones and optimize resource utilization.
- Proactively adjust project plans to accommodate changes in scope, schedule, or resource availability, minimizing disruptions.
- Prepare and present regular progress updates to senior management and stakeholders, identifying key achievements and potential risks.
- Regularly assess project timelines and take corrective actions as needed to keep projects on track.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, ensuring effective communication and collaboration throughout the project lifecycle.
Requirements:
- At least 5 years of experience in a planning role within the construction industry, with a broad range of project experience.
- Proven expertise in managing complex project schedules using planning tools such as Primavera P6 or similar software.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions to drive project success.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities to engage effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders.
- A proactive problem-solving approach, with the flexibility to adapt to changing project requirements and dynamics.
- Eligible to work in Ireland.
- Full EU Driving License.
Preferred Qualifications:
- A degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field is an advantage.
