Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Site Manager to join a well-regarded contractor known for delivering high-quality civil engineering and building projects across various sectors. With a strong presence in Ireland and the UK, their expertise spans areas such as water and wastewater treatment, infrastructure development, energy solutions, and large-scale building projects.

With our clients ongoing success and growth, they are looking to offer an exciting opportunity for a Site Manager to join our team on a new residential project in Monaghan town. Reporting to the Contracts Manager, you will play a pivotal role in project delivery, providing support to colleagues, and advancing both personally and professionally in your role as a Site Manager.

Responsibilities

  • Overseeing the construction site, including the management of subcontractors, ensuring the health and safety of personnel, and maintaining high standards of quality and workmanship.
  • Accountable for the overall management and daily on-site operations.
  • Planning and managing short-term construction and scheduling programs to maximize efficiency and ensure project milestones are achieved on schedule.
  • Managing Health and Safety policies and procedures to ensure compliance.
  • Supervising subcontractors, leading on-site teams, and addressing any issues as they arise.
  • Delivering projects on time and to a high specification.
  • Collaborating with other departments to provide technical feedback and maintain consistency in communication and project execution.
  • Ensuring all document control processes are integrated as part of project management.
  • Maintaining and adhering to the Integrated Management System (IMS), including policies and procedures.

Requirments

  • Able to take initiative, demonstrating accountability and responsibility throughout the lifecycle of a project.
  • Deadline-oriented, motivating teams to achieve key targets.
  • Strong communication skills and sound commercial awareness.
  • A full driving license and relevant site certifications.
  • Eligible to work in Ireland.

Experience Required:

  • A degree in Construction Engineering and Management or a related field is advantageous.
  • At least 5 years of experience in residential projects.
  • Proficiency in numeracy and IT skills, including MS Project, Word, and Excel.

Salary for this Site Manager role is between €75,000 - €85,000 DOE

(Negotiable dependent upon experience), bonus scheme, car allowance, plus further additional benefits
