Job Title: Stores Manager
Location: Greater Manchester
We have a great opportunity for an experienced Stores Manager to join a growing Telecoms contractor, assisting on FTTP build and installation projects around the North West.
Your role as a Stores Manager will be to maintain efficient operations by ensuring all equipment, tools, and materials are managed, stored, and distributed effectively.
Key Responsibilities for this Stores Manager role:
- Keep an accurate record of inventory levels across all stockcategories.
- Ensure all deliveries meet required specifications by recording and inspecting all incoming stock.
- Liaise with the onsite project teams and distributing out all relevant equipment and cabling.
- Make sure the stock room/warehouse is always kept tidy, promoting good health and safety standards.
- Performing risk assessments related to stock handling.
- Assist in the continuous improvement and development of inventory policies and procedures.
Key Requirements for this Stores Manager role:
- Proven experience working in a similar role in the utilities/telecoms industry ideally, but would consider candidates with warehouse managing expertise
- Understanding of telecoms equipment and materials is advantageous.
- Strong understanding of health and safety compliance
- IT Literacy
- Ability to lift and move heavy items in accordance with manual handling guidelines.
- Experience liaising with onsite project teams beneficial
Package offered for this Stores Manager role:
- £30,000 - £40,000 depending on skills and experience
- Standard package, pension etc.
- February Start
