This is a great opportunity for an experienced Street Works Compliance Manager to join a Tier 1 contractor based in Cumbria working on the full fibre build projects while ensuring all sites are legislation compliant.
Your role as a Street Works Compliance Manager will be to act as a subject matter expert in street works legislation, offering training and coaching to all stakeholders (both internal and external) to accurately document and manage legislative fees/fines.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensuring compliance with all teams with permit procedures and timelines to avoid fines.
- Coordination of street works permits and NRSWA requirements with local authorities.
- Audit of sites, training and coaching of site teams relating to compliance.
- Disputing and Negotiation of fines within legislation timeframes
- Assisting HSEQ and Operational departments in any investigations
- Adhering to all Health and Safety practices
- Analysing and responding to FPN’s, Defects, Section 74 charges, prosecutions and any associated fines within a timely manner &/or prescribed period.
Key Requirements:
- Strong background in a similar role within Utilities or Civil Engineering
- Excellent knowledge of regulatory legislation within Street Works and Traffic Management
- Experience with Street Manager
- Knowledge of NRSWA and TMA
- NRSWA training certificate
- Cross-functional collaboration expertise with Project Teams, Client, Local Authorities and other stakeholders
- Full valid UK driving licence
- Relevant degree or NVQ level 5 would be desirable
