This is a great opportunity for an experienced Systems Project Manager to join a well known Tier 1 contractor working on a large water infrastructure programme across the Scotland Region.

The company is a well know Tier 1 contractor who operate nationwide throughout the UK and have a number of Regional offices. Your role as Systems Project Manager you will joining an award winning business. You will be responsible for safe delivery of their projects whilst achieving commercial expectations. A key part of the role will be establishing a strong relationship with the client, both at project level and within the Framework.

Key responsibilities for this Systems Project Manager role:
- Working within a multi-disciplinary team on projects, primarily in water & waste water. Managing a number of projects focussing on MCC/PLC and SCADA upgrades and migrations
- Accountable for MCC/SCADA/PLC project delivery and managing the project team.
- Accountable for MCC/SCADA/PLC project margins (gross)
- Participate in collaboration meetings with other engineering disciplines and professionals.
- Review of contracts & specifications.
- Procurement and support for subcontract procurement based on detailed specifications.
- Record and review all project information.
- Continual professional development including professional registration is encouraged and actively supported.
- Work closely with the PMO team to ensure delivery programmes are in place and progress is monitored.
- Drive Risk management for the Projects.
- Provide leadership and guidance on technical and contractual matters to ensure timely resolution.
- Preparing progress reports for the senior leadership team
- Develops lasting relationships with client personnel that foster client ties and support the long term business plan.
- Communicates effectively with clients to identify needs and evaluate alternative technical solutions.



Experience required for this Systems Project Manager role:
- Experience in water industry would be advantageous with the ideal candidate having a background in MCC/SCADA installations
- Computer literate with a good understanding of appropriate software packages
- Knowledge and skills in the in the planning, specification, design procurement and commissioning of projects
- A good financial background in relation to projects
- A good Knowledge of NEC3/4 contracts
- Possess sound knowledge of current legislation and able to work in accordance with QA and H&S procedures
- Able to integrate well into a team as well as work independently
- Experienced level of decision making and ability to prioritise and manage conflicting demands
- Strong communication skills all levels with the client, suppliers, contractors and design team
- Excellent written and oral communications skills
- Exceptional organisational skills
- Must be able to plan and prioritise work load effectively
- Excellent client service focus
- Flexible approach to work
